As part of the Norwegian state owned Statkraft Group, Statkraft Markets Pvt. Ltd. has been in India since 2012. The vision of Statkraft Markets is to deliver value to generators and consumers of power based on the Group’s experience of more than 20 years in power markets in Europe and South-America. The company holds a Category-I Inter State Trading Licence and is now engaged in providing services to its Joint Venture Hydro Power assets in addition to successfully delivering on innovative and unique contracts with various companies across India

The IT operational model cater for a common set of operational processes, a common support model and a global infrastructure capable to carry out corporate wide and local IT systems. Your role-

As a Software Developer, you will closely engage with the business by developing customized systems giving Statkraft a competitive edge in the power market.

 Your key responsibilities are-

• Develop high quality tools in-order to provide the business flexibility in data analysis and visualization.
• Work closely with the business to understand the business process and needs; design the technical concept and develop high quality software within agreed timescales.
• Support the agile release- and sprint planning process through analysis and estimation of development work.
• Develop and maintain small to enterprise scale applications in a range of technologies.
• Preparing release notes and operational handover documents.

Your profile:

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience
• Python scripting skill is essential
• Working experience in Anaconda distribution, Dask, Pandas, NumPy, Dockers, Kubernetes, Flask, Django- Web Development
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (like JavaScript and HTML5)
• .NET, C# knowledge is preferred.
• PostgreSQL, Timeseries database competence and knowledge of Azure technology would be beneficial.
• Experience in HighCharts is preferred.
• Experience with working with financial & time series data and systems supporting business or industrial processes.
• Good understanding of how to handle data that spans various time zones
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and a commercial mind-set
• Motivated and pro-active self-starter with a success-oriented attitude.
