What Trading & Origination area do?

Statkraft is one of the largest traders in the European energy market and an important actor internationally. We trade energy and commodities in more than 20 countries and are active on 13 energy exchanges. In Brazil Statkraft is becoming a large player within trading & origination business and building and managing renewable assets.

The activities range from propietary and structured trading to different origination activities like being a market integrator in the long-term market. In addition, the team is responsible for giving market access for all assets and projects from Statkraft in Brazil.

Your role:

• Take positions in standard positions on the Brazilian power market on your book;
• P&L responsibility for taking risk on your own trading mandate;
• Analyze market fundamentals and developments on power;
• Closely work together with the rest of Stakraft’s trading and origination team.

Your profile:

• Solid experience in trading activities in the Brazilian power business;
• University degree in mathematics, economics, engineering or similar;
• Track record showing positive trading results;
• Deep understanding of fundamental and commercial value drivers of the Brazilian power market;
• Strong commercial mindset and high level of initiative and motivation;
• Self-going individual that supports the rest of the T&O team with input on commercial strategies;
• Excellent English and Portuguese language skills;
• Flexible, accurate and capable of further developing the business.
