Senior Sales Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Senior Sales Manager, reporting to VP Regional Sales UK. In this role, you will be a part of the UK sales team selling and promoting Kongsberg Maritime products and solutions, predominantly for the underwater positioning and Seatex business lines. You will be responsible for helping the team meet its targets by ensuring strong customer relations and working effectively with a wide range of customers, including; survey, installation contactors, vessel operators, yards and governmental. You will also work with the product rental team to promote the service to customers, with a  focus in the UK, Ireland and Europe.

Kongsberg Maritime has a broad product portfolio, and you will need to understand customer demands and effectively position our products and systems accordingly. As a provider of products and system solutions, our ambition is to cross-sell and up-sell to our customers and promote the right level of offerings. Our UK team works closely with product experts and sales experts at HQ, and together our global teams provide excellent customer knowledge and relations combined with deep product and system knowledge.

You will join an experienced team, working together to maximize our sales potential.

Key accountabilities

  • To create and maintain customer relations
  • Develop sales and customer strategies for our products and solutions
  • Liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives
  • Operational sales towards defined areas and customers
  • Preparation of quotations and manage contract negotiations
  • Coordinate customer activities with sales resources within Kongsberg Maritime
  • Order intake budget, prognoses short and long term.
  • Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products
  • Arranging to attend industry conferences and events

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline, Ocean Science or Hydrographic Survey or equivalent HND with relevant experience is preferred.
  • Sales and marketing experience from the offshore oil and gas and / or renewables business.
  • Good understanding and or experience of offshore ROV and Survey operations.
  • Advantageous to have operational experience and understanding of technologies and applications for SSBL, LBL, GNSS, subsea inertial navigation positioning systems and DP reference sensors.
  • Experience in customer negotiation, sales, rental sales and commercial processes.
  • Awareness of relevant industries / competitors
  • Travelling predominantly within the UK, Ireland and Europe will be required for this role.
