We are on behalf of our client looking for a Senior Production Control System Engineer for a project in Ågotnes (or Tranby), Norway.

 

Responsibilities and tasks:

• Provide engineering support to subsea control system testing and commissioning, both onshore and offshore

• Provide technical and engineering support to internal and external customers on dedicated offshore field

• Define technical scopes of work required for the maintenance, repair, refurbishment and upgrade of control systems

• Day-to-day follow-up of technical activities related to areas of responsibility like testing, commissioning, maintenance and general field support

• Continual contact with Line Managers and Project Managers regarding technical issues related to offshore/service activities

Qualifications & personal attributes:

• Bachelor/Master degree in control system engineering - or other relevant combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of network routing philosophies and network diagnostics for trouble shooting of communications between network nodes is a major advantage
• Cyber Security knowledge related to overall network and system security, and the security of Industrial Automation and Control Systems is an advantage
• Understanding of mechanical/hydraulic systems and electrical systems used in Subsea Production Control Systems
• Knowledge of engineering practices and relevant hands-on experience of the planning, engineering and testing processes
• Ability to delegate tasks and activities and seek support from a team of technical experts
• Conversant with requirements of various oil and gas equipment codes and standards such as API 17 (Subsea) 
• Good communicative skills in English, both verbally and written language
