Working in Risk Management 

In addition to being a leading renewable energy integrator, Statkraft is also active in proprietary trading of energy commodities with trading desks in Amsterdam, Düsseldorf, London, Oslo and Stockholm. The Risk Management team plays a central role in analysing, measuring, managing and communicating the risks associated with all trading and market making activities of Statkraft. 

Your role: 

As a (Senior) Liquidity Risk Analyst (m/f/d) and as part of Statkraft’s Risk Management team, you will be responsible for liquidity-related risk management. This includes in particular: 

  • Consolidation of liquidity reporting and stress testing of energy trades with internal analytics tools for effective communication to internal stakeholders 
  • Improvement and optimization of risk and valuation methodologies to address dynamic market conditions
  • Definition of liquidity metrics and limit structures
  • Continuous risk analysis of the positions of our trading and origination activities throughout European power, gas, certificate, and other commodity markets
  • Quality assurance of liquidity data infrastructure, including but not limited to data reconciliation to ensure the accuracy of reporting databases  
  • Collaboration with external service providers for the continuous development and improvement of the risk analysis toolkit  

About you: 

We look for a (Senior) Liquidity Risk Analyst (m/f/d) with the essential skills to future-proof our business and renewable energy solutions. That includes: 

  • Advanced university degree in quantitative discipline like Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics or other relevant fields
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably in the energy industry
  • Strong analytical mind set and critical thinking skills
  • Experience in liquidity optimization and cash management
  • Programming experience preferred (e.g. Python, Matlab or R)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic and international environment
  • Fluent in German and English
