If so, we are looking to recruit a highly motivated Senior Finance Business Partner to fulfil an exciting, newly formed position within our Logistics division.

With a current Group turnover of £2bn, DFDS are one of the largest Shipping & Logistics leaders in Europe. Looking after a large proportion of our overall Logistics division, this role will look to cover several sites throughout the UK & Ireland which currently turnover approximately £200m. The successful candidate will be a key member of the senior leadership team, reporting into the Vice President Logistics UK&I and be empowered to work flexibly in terms of location and hours with a formal base at our Immingham location. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate individual with a growth mindset who can partner and represent the business in multiple ways from leading contractual commercial negotiations from stage one to translating data into insights and actions to gain improved financial results!

 

What you will be responsible for:

• Develop understanding of the business context associated with value creation, translate financial and non-financial data into business opportunities
• Understand the financial challenges and strategically influence them to deliver options to meet financial targets
• Drive business performance, continuous productivity improvements and standardisation across the area of responsibility
• Accountable for timely and high-quality financial reporting, analysis and metrics to key stakeholders
• Driving one set of numbers across all financial reports
• Own and provide financial information and expertise to inform and challenge the business strategy
• Drive investment plans and budget/forecasting process
• Accountable for the analysis and interpretation of financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry and economic conditions
• Coach and challenge the organisation to increase financial awareness to enable successful business decision making

 

What you will need to be successful

You will a proven track record of working within in a complex multi-site organisation and can demonstrate that you are comfortable advising and supporting Senior Management with business decisions as well as displaying strong partnering, coaching and negotiation skills. You will drive change and improvements across all areas within our business.
