Our department is responsible for development of the maritime navigation system of Kongsberg Maritime. This position will primarily be responsible for our software development and maintenance of our radar product and transceiver integration as well as the development and integration of subsystems to lift our products towards the shift to autonomy operations.

Key accountabilities

• Software development of radar systems and development towards autonomy
• Build up profound knowledge of the maritime navigation systems
• Build up knowledge of maritime navigation regulated standards (radar)
• Excellent ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
• Work with development within the field of autonomy/AI

Qualifications and experience
We are looking for you who has a degree in one of these fields:

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in SW Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Cybernetics
• Background in image processing, detection and estimation, practical mathematical optimization
• Experience with developing in C/C++
• Good communication skills in English, both spoken and written

If you have some experience with the following its a plus, but you will get the training and mentoring needed to bring you up to a professional level.

• C#, OpenCL as a computing platform, Matlab, Python, high performance computing, Machine Learning/AI, Azure DevOps or Visual Studio on Windows

 You are able to
