Would you like to work with credit analysis and look forward to developing your skills in a leading Nordic Bank? We are looking for a Senior Credit Analyst to join our Bank & Country Risk Analysis team within the Credit Analysis unit based at Kungsträdgårdsgatan in Stockholm.

About the job
Credit Analysis is part of SEB’s division Large Corporates & Financial Institutions and provides SEB’s global business and credit decision authorities with in-depth analyses of counterparties and transactions across sectors.

The Bank & Country Risk unit comprises a team of 7 and covers credit exposures mainly within SEB’s Institutional business including e.g. banks, insurance companies, asset managers etc on a global basis. As Senior Analyst within the team you are effectively our lead analyst for the relevant sectors. Your daily activity will involve interaction with clients as well as internal stakeholders within our Coverage units and the Credit organization with a view to produce and present your analyses. We also expect you to take a leading role in the mentoring of younger analysts within and outside of our unit, and that you contribute to the development of models and methodology used in the field. This will e.g. include contributing to SEB’s very high ESG ambition in the area of finance. 

As such the role is central to the business process and credit risk management of SEB and will provide you with excellent opportunities for professional development and personal growth.

Who are you?
This is a senior position which offers a possibility to truly impact the success of SEB’s lending business in relevant areas as well as to ensure the continuous improvement of the work processes and procedures at Credit Analysis. With this in mind, the successful candidate will have a solid understanding of credit risk within the field of Banks and other financial institutions, as well as ability and confidence to influence and drive complex processes independently. You probably have some 7-10 years of banking experience involving credit analysis. As a person we expect you to be organised, have a keen eye for detail as well as a “big picture” perspective and persistence to see initiatives through. You enjoy interacting with others as the role includes coaching of analysts as well as engaging with clients on senior level. 

Strong proficiency in English and Swedish and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines are prerequisites for the position.
