Our solutions for the international markets in Marine, Offshore, and Oil & Gas are among the most advanced in the maritime industry. To meet the challenges in selling the energy solutions for the future, we are looking for a highly motivated customer-oriented Sales Manager with a desire to work in a dynamic and international environment. In this role you will take an active part in the sales processes with a main responsibility for leading the Integrated Solutions product line, assisting the US and rest of region Americas. You will make important contributions to the US and Americas markets and work with the rest of the sales team to promote KM’s market leading solutions.  The role will allow you to work across segments, with a variety of clients and a wide spectrum of technologies.

 

Key accountabilities:

  • Create and maintain customer relations
  • Preparation of quotations and manage contract negotiations
  • Building strong internal network quickly and effectively
  • Coordinate customer activities with sales resources within KONGSBERG
  • Responsible for the technical scope, cost estimation and risk assessment of a tender
  • Present the technical solution to owners, yards and designers in the region
  • Technical and strategic support to other sales managers in the region
  • Train other sales managers in quotation development
  • Participation in industry conferences and events

 

Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering or similar (equivalent industry experience will be considered)
  • Good understanding overview of products for the marine industry including propulsion, steering, control systems, navigation and automation
  • Previous exposure to system integrations (including commissioning) is an advantage but not essential
  • Existing client network in maritime and offshore industries preferred
