Sales Manager, Aftermarket Sales

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Sales Manager, reporting to Head of Aftermarket Sales – Thrusters. As a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales in a particular region while working in close collaboration with the local sales team to maximize the sales potential. Together with the sales team you will serve all customer activities from day-to-day maintenance to larger thruster conversion projects. The Sales Manager position is well suited for you, if you like travelling, interacting with customers, and have an entrepreneurial mindset. We are looking for an individual who will look for cross selling other products in our portfolio as part of meeting the customer demand. In this role you will be joining an experienced sales team located in both Norway and Finland and together you will serve Kongsberg Maritime’s international customers. Responsibilities

  • Prepare commercial proposals for new functionality, modifications and retrofit/refit/conversion
  • Ensure familiarization and understanding of the customers fleet and operation to proactively offer relevant products and services
  • Actively take lead in continuous improvement of project initiatives to drive sales in the aftermarket
  • Contribute with product competence and commercial activities to assist the entire Kongsberg Maritime organization, e.g., “Sales Conversion & Performance”, in offering complete KM packages
  • Identifying business opportunities towards existing and new customers
  • Focal point for the local sales team towards the product center

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree and/or experience in sales or technical field service
  • Commercial mindset
  • Experience from maintenance of thrusters is considered as an advantage
  • General knowledge and interest in the maritime industry
  • Knowledge and experience with KM equipment are considered as an advantage
  • Proficiency working within the Office Suite
  • Good communication skills in English
