SALES AGENT French MARKET

Position

We are looking for a Freight Sales Agent to join and strengthen our continental sales team. As a Sales Agent in France you are reporting to the Sales Director DFDS in Belgium.

Working for the logistics division you will be able to sell a variety of logistical services to your customers, going from all types of intermodal transport solutions to warehousing and control tower solutions.  Via the DFDS Way of Selling, we will train you to become a forerunner in the logistics market. You will be given a region that becomes your area of development.

 Your Main Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for the commercial development of a predefined region in France.
  • To develop this region, you will build and rely on a strong network of professional contacts.
  • Maintain and develop business with existing and new customers
  • All visits and evolutions will be reported via our designated platforms and tools
  • Evaluate and analyze the evolutions of the customers
  • Report to the management about competition, complaints, legislation etc.
  • Provide operations with the needed information to implement a new customer successfully and you will communicate with the customers what DFDS needs to make the operations run as smooth as possible.
  • You will make a marketing plan for your area and decide which fair or events we need to be part of.
  • Foresee to travel once a month to Ghent in Belgium to join the BE-FR sales meetings.

 

 Profile

We are looking for an ambitious and motivated person, Fluent in French and English, who is interested in logistics and the opportunity to develop a region. You could have a logistics background and an existing network of potential customers, but more importantly you have a lot of ambition and the skills and attitude we are looking for.

 

Soft skills

You have a problem solving mindset/ability to manage conflicting priorities. You can rely on excellent communication skills and are driven by growing business.

 You are able to develop a region on you own taking into consideration the parameters DFDS want you to work with. You are eager to reach out to people of interest and to make DFDS the most valued logistics partner in your region.

 

We are looking for a person in

-          The region of Pays de la Loire: will be responsible for Bretagne/pays de la loire/Centre Val de Loire/Nouvelle Aquitaine/Occitanie

-          and someone in the area of  Grand Est for which he or she will be responsible and Luxemburg and Germany Alsace border area. (German spoken would be a great asset)
