A temporary position as Researcher is available for a period of three years in the Norwegian Centre for Clinical Cancer Research (MATRIX) on functional precision cancer medicine in the work package (WP1a) on molecular diagnostics (WP leaders Kjetil Taskén, Hege Russnes). The over-all aim of MATRIX is to improve survival and quality of life for patients with hard-to-treat cancers. For molecular diagnostics the aim is to improve patient selection to treatment by developing and integrating different precision diagnostics approaches increasing the portfolio of available diagnostic methods.
The position will be based in the Cell Signalling and Immune Regulation Group (Group Leader, Prof. Kjetil Taskén), Dept. of Cancer Immunology, Institute for Cancer Research (ICR), Oslo University Hospital – Radiumhospitalet and will work closely also with the Russnes Group in Dept. of Cancer Genetics and the Section for Experimental Pathology and Research Support, Dept. of Pathology.
A main focus of the Taskén group is to explore individual drug responsiveness and resistance patterns in patient cancer cells by cancer drug sensitivity screening (CDSS) for use in precision cancer medicine (PCM) in oncology and hematology. The enthusiastic research team of approx. 20 people is highly international and conducts research in close collaboration with clinicians and with international collaborators.
