A 3-year full time Research Position is available in the Laboratory of Adaptive Immunity and Homeostasis, headed Jan Terje Andersen, Department of Immunology at Oslo University Hospital (OUH), Rikshospitalet.

The position relates to a Distinguished Innovator Grant from Novo Nordisk Foundation aiming at translating cutting-edge research into biomedical concepts focusing on tailored protein design targeting pathogens. Research will done by combining structural biology with biochemical and cellular assays as well as studies in state-of-the-art transgenic mice. The project relies on collaboration with leading international laboratories.

The successful candidate will join a highly integrated and motivated team with diverse skills and expertise across molecular biology and immunology. We seek a motivated, creative and energetic candidate that will take active part in the research cooperation focusing on protein design and infections diseases.

Kvalifikasjoner:

• The candidate must have a PhD degree (or other corresponding education equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree)
• Highly motivated and structured candidate with background in molecular biology or immunology
• Proven knowledge in molecular techniques such as vector design, production and purification of recombinant proteins and assays for evaluation of protein binding and transport properties
• Knowledge in cellular biology and in vivo studies are advantageous
• The successful candidate have abilities to work independently and cooperate within an interdisciplinary team
• Candidates must have strong proficiency in verbal and written English
• It will be an advantage if the applicant can start as soon as possible
