An exciting opportunity has arisen as R&D Mechanical Designer. The position is in our department for Subsea Acoustical Technology, designing underwater acoustic systems. Your coworkers are leading experts in acoustics, electronics, signal processing and embedded design, passionate about their work and ready to share their knowledge.

We want your expertise in the Electro Acoustic Transducer Team.

We are designing the acoustic transducers for our products; sonars, echosounders, and multi beams for seabed mapping, fish finding and underwater communication products. We focus on and optimize good design practice, performance and efficiency. If you are highly motivated to work with innovation and seek an opportunity to specialize and work with advanced challenges in mechanical design for electro acoustic transducer development, you could be the right one for our team.

Accountabilities

• Responsible for the mechanical design within the electro acoustical transducers
• Production of prototypes in collaboration with own Industrialization department and mechanical workshop
• Testing of new materials and making use of new material technology
• Participate in automating production

Qualification and experience

• Master’s in mechanical design
• Mechanical design and 3D modelling
• Strength calculation and dimensioning (FEM method)
• Preferably experience with machines from workshop / production etc.
