Yara Odor and H2S Solutions is undertaking a rapid growth strategy, and aim to change the market place with our innovative and extended "full service" offering to complement our world leading Odor and H2S Prevention and Removal solutions.
To support this growth strategy, we are looking for a Project Manager within the Odor and H2S Solutions team in Norway, based in Porsgrunn. The Project Manager will be responsible for the sales, planning and delivery of Odor and H2S Prevention and Removal installations at customer sites. The person will sell, plan, engineer and deliver technical projects utilizing our world leading biological liquid calcium nitrate dosing technologies or our best in class gas phase removal technologies and systems. The person will be a part of a dynamic team of 19 Odor and H2S specialists in the Nordics, and be a part of Yara’s global Odor and H2S Solutions team consisting of ~60 people around the world serving a range of public and industrial customers.

　

The Project Manager EPC will report to the Team Lead, EPC, Odor & H2S Nordics.

Responsibilities

• Execute technical ventilation and air treatment projects from cradle to grave
• Execute the planning and implementation of Projects through all Project phases, including: Prepare documents, drawings, specifications for major components
• Follow up the key areas such as estimating, scheduling, resource planning, HESQ, risk management as well as the technical key engineering disciplines
• Define specifications with the purchasing department and check contracts for the execution of the works by internal and external companies
• Track the Project deliverables and report the Project’s status.
• Communicate on an appropriate level to the major stakeholders of the Project
• Proactively forecast the Project’s developments and intervene to achieve defined project outputs
• Evaluate the results and contribute to improving project processes
• Follow and implement Yara’s directives, procedures, best practices and operating standards
• Ensure strict fulfillment of Yara Ethics & Compliance, Code of Conduct and safety rules with strong focus proactive safety work and specific H2S related safety matters

Profile

• Technical School or Engineering Degree.
• Previous knowledge of ventilation, air treatment, waste handling processes or biological degradation processes is a plus
• Previous experience with assessment and analysis of customer needs and issues, and sales of Technical Solutions and Projects
• Proven skills in the Engineering Business
• CAD experience ( Autodesk Revit)
• Experience in Management of Projects
• Good knowledge of best practices in Project Management
• Good communication skills
• Good team player with an ability to coach/motivate team members
• Basic knowledge on contracting /legal basics
• Problem solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks
• Willingness to travel extensively within the Nordics

Driver’s license and Personal car available to be used for work related travel is a requirement.
