At KAMS we are continuously working on a number of exciting projects and we are now in need of your expertise. More precisely, we are looking for Project Engineers to assist with the stand-up of the Maintenance, Repair, Overhaul & Upgrade (“MRO&U”) with Test Cell facility in Rygge for the Pratt & Whitney F135 Engine, which powers the F35 Lightning II for the global customers. As our Project Engineer you will run sub projects and assist in the overall stand-up and then sustainment of the MRO&U with Test Cell Facility.

 

To succeed in the role you should be reliable, structured, proactive, and able to think creatively, as well as having excellent communication and interpersonal skills. We are looking for talents with will and ambition to perform, deliver and exceed costumer expectations, who also have a positive and constructive attitude and understand the importance of collaboration.

 

Our headquarter is located at Kjeller but the workplace for this position will be at Rygge flystasjon

 

At KAMS we offer you varied and exciting tasks:

  • Assist in technical problem solving and preparation of new projects to contribute to the workshop being able to complete their projects
  • Participate in the development of KAMS' technology. Assess production and maintenance processes and make proposals for the improvement of these, both with regard to technical solutions and more streamlined and financially viable solutions
  • Perform other engineering work with the Lead Process Method’s Engineers for the establishment of the MRO&U with Test Cell facility
  • Provide technical advice and guidance for other staff, as required
  • Liaise with the P&W staff and participate in collaborations on technical issues
  • Ensure that projects are carried out in a professional, rational and financially viable manner according to the requisition’s requirements
  • Continuously provide the Lead Project Method’s Engineer, Project Manager and Operations Manager with information on the status of work and, in particular, when extraordinary circumstances require it
  • Contribute to a high professional standard in the Engineering Department and make proposals for continuous development and further training
  • Follow applicable regulations, rules and directives

 

We are looking for talents with the following qualifications:

  • Higher technical education (Bachelor / Master)
  • Relevant experience and interest in working with concepts, system design, system architecture, integration and testing from development team / technical in project with exposure to customer
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and familiarize yourself with the operation and structure of complex technical systems, and understand the system and details in an operational context
  • Knowledge of the Aviation/ Defence Aviation environment (Desired)
  • Working knowledge of EASA, EMAR and AS9001, AS9100 and AS9110 (Desired)
  • Planning and Reporting experience (ie. Primavira, MS project, MS Office Package)
