My name is Johan Larsson, deputy department manager for Information Platform within Customer Cross Solutions in the Technology organisation. I am now looking for a Product Owner who will help build the next generation data platform for SEB’s data engineers, data scientists and data analysts to accelerate bottom-line growth for SEB through data-driven decisions.

About the position
Your job as a Product Owner will be to drive the roadmap and strategic direction for SEB’s data platform and help bringing SEB’s big data ecosystem to both the private and public cloud. Work closely with Architects and the other Product Owners in the Data and Analytics Tribe to identify, prioritize and address gaps with the goal of providing a world-class data experience at SEB.

You will work in an international environment with agile teams located in both Stockholm and Vilnius, consisting of experts in various data technologies.

In your role you will identify new opportunities based end user input, research, regulations, industry trends and best practices to provide a data platform product with great developer experience. Building a strong product management practice by continually assessing the needs of the customers, starting with vague information and driving to a clear identification of an unmet end user needs, followed by products and features which address the needs. Work close to your team ensuring they are focusing on the right things, balancing short versus long term needs. Evangelizing product roadmap in informal and formal settings.

What we expect
To succeed on this role we believe that you:

• Have a passion to identify problems to solve, and to define the platform features which can solve those problems
• Love interacting with your team as well as the end users of your products.
• Have more than 8 years of experience in software development and working in technology.
• Have at least 3 years working as a product manager in a data platform/infrastructure organization.
• Expertise in big data development, modern data management and infrastructure as a developer, architect and/or product owner.
• Experience of working closely with data engineers, infrastructure teams, data scientists in big data settings following agile principles
• Experience in on-premise and cloud environments.
• Have security and privacy by design thinking
