To meet an exciting and sustainable future, we are seeking a Product Advisor to help manage our products and solutions for marine robotics. With us you will be a part of the forefront of tech solutions for the marine environment.

You will be part of the Marine Robotics department, who create, design, and build autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and autonomous unmanned surface vessels (USVs) that can explore from the sea surface and down to 6000 meters below. Our vehicles can operate alone for days and weeks at a time, gathering information about the seafloor, the water, and objects in the water. We create and integrate advanced sensors for information gathering, maritime navigation, and communication. 

 

What you will be working on

You will contribute to manage our portfolio of products and their life cycle. Centering around our AUV and USV systems, your tasks will vary from managing the products and documentation, through follow-up and oversight of development efforts, to technical assistance and in-field presence. You will become a product expert and aid in technical discussions. You will be joining our product department which consists of a dedicated group of people responsible for the entire marine robotics portfolio at Kongsberg Maritime. To succeed in this role, we believe you need to be cooperative, responsible, and quality minded. You are adept at using product management IT-tools, or eager to learn such tools.

 

Key responsibilities

• Product management, development, and life cycle support
•  Initiation, product leadership, verification, and validation of product improvements
• Advise on, and control, product improvements by maintaining close interaction and collaboration with our sub-suppliers
• Occasional presence in field operations with focus on mission, data, and sensor analysis expertise
•  Occasional advanced technical support by analysing customer issues

Qualifications

•  A bachelor’s degree or higher within a relevant technical field. Experience can compensate for a degree. We believe the right candidate has some previous experience from the maritime domain.
•  Previous experience within product development is a benefit, but we are also looking for you who have the mindset to make the move into a product centric role.
• You have excellent oral and written English skills.

 

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority.
