Job Summary:

DNO is seeking an experienced Process Engineer based in Erbil but with frequent visits to the projects site in Kurdistan and Dubai office. The Process Engineer will be joining an international and dynamic working environment characterized by experienced, skilled and motivated employees.

The Process Engineer shall be accountable for all process engineering in accordance with the approved development plans and the corporate design and HSSE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Initiate, develop and manage intelligent process engineering systems and procedures. (P&ID, PFDs, HYSYS, PIPSIM)
• Contribute to the development of integrated Corporate project plans
• Implementation of multi-disciplinary projects from design phase through to commissioning and handover.
• Ensure interfaces with existing plant and other projects are aligned and correctly designed
• Work with the senior and lead Process engineers to direct the engineering and/or EPC contractor’s activities with respect to Process Engineering
• Participate in constructability, model reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL & QRA studies.
• Ensure process data sheets are issued to enable the earliest placement of enquiries and perform the process calculation when is needed
• Ensure Vendor documentation is properly managed and comments returned in a timely manner to CONTRACTOR.
• Ensure Integration of Process Design between Vendor packages and the process systems
• Define and safely deliver cost-effective project (Process) solutions to internationally recognized standards, some within challenging timescales.
• Verify the PFDs, P&IDs, tie-ins, equipment sizing at the site and support the As-built process.
• Coordination with other DNO project discipline engineering team members and other internal stakeholders.
• Monitor process engineering progress and ensure necessary information flow between disciplines to meet project milestones. Contribute and provide process engineering professional project status reports.
• Support effective handover and closure of projects and contracts.
• Provide on-site support during construction and commissioning activities.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• BSc degree in chemical (preferable) or petroleum Engineering from a recognized institution.
• >3 years of experience in large capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects and brownfield modifications, preferably within the oil and gas industry. At least 1 year as a successful process engineer.
• Have technical skills and knowledge of practical process techniques and equipment.
• Hands-on experience with construction and commissioning.
• Familiar with the process engineering software (PDMS P&ID/ HYSYS / MS software/ FlareNet)
• Knowledge and Understanding of Modularized process plant design and Installation
