The Role… A vacancy has arisen for a Logistics Team Leader at DFDS Logistics based in Cavan. This position will test your abilities, providing challenges to deliver within budgetary and timed deadlines whilst all the time achieving business targets. To ensure this you will demonstrate a resolutely positive “can do” attitude.

You will be a key player in an exciting, fast paced and well organised logistics environment ensuring that all orders are delivered in the most cost-effective manner, on time every time.  You will be individually responsible for customer service performance, utilising direct negotiation skills daily. You will seek to produce impeccable customer service levels, issue clear instruction, and react to any changing situation that develops on a day to day basis.

Hours of work will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday; a high degree of flexibility will be required based on business needs.

Skills:

• Customer facing experience with a strong attention to OTD performance
• Short sea and trailer freight experience essential
• Co-Ordinating and monitoring supply chain ops from overseas
• Proactive and forward-thinking approach
• Continually deliver towards KPI targets
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement
• Promote teamwork between colleagues across all DFDS locations
• Actively reduce running cost
• CPC national / international preferred
• Communication skills English both written & verbal
• IT Skills – competent user of Excel
• Previous experience working as a team lead / manager required (4 years min)
• Attention to details
