The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for purchasing and receiving of stock, customer owned repairs and maintaining inventory control.  Responsible for all outgoing and incoming shipments.  Responsible for sales order entry.

Key accountabilities

  • Receives and verifies accuracy of incoming shipments
  • Sorts and places materials on racks or shelves
  • Prepares merchandise for shipment, as required
  • Maintains accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system
  • Purchasing materials for stock and the operation
  • Utilizes materials handling equipment such as forklifts, etc.
  • Negotiates courier and freight company rates
  • Create shipments and customs documentation for outgoing shipments domestic and international
  • Set up and maintain forklift training
  • Create sales orders upon receipt of customer PO’s

Authority

  • Sign for incoming shipments
  • Authorize access to the warehouse
  • Approve payment for invoices from suppliers, freight companies, etc.

Qualifications and experience

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and handle materials that weigh up to 75 lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to handle simultaneous activities and work in a hectic environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Effective interpersonal communication skills and computer literacy
