As a Legal Advisor, you will become our in-house legal professional, being responsible for supporting our commercial team on a wide range of corporate and commercial legal matters. You will join the company`s Legal & Compliance department and get the opportunity to work independently with a variety of interesting challenges in an exciting international environment.

 

You will also get the opportunity to:

• Provision of legal support to KDI's global operations on contractual and commercial issues
• Draft, review and negotiate complex commercial agreements
• Participation in tender preparations, clarifications, and 3rd party negotiations
• Follow up and handling of complex client contracts and subcontracts, as well as drafting and updating contract templates
• Assisting in the updating of internal processes and corporate procedures
• Managing contractual disputes and ad-hoc in-house legal tasks.

 

Location: The role is located in Houston, Texas, and will report to Head of Legal in KDI HQ, Norway.

Do you already have:

• A good understanding of key legal, commercial principals of it-contracts, especially SaaS, software licenses and it-deliveries
• Experience with working independently
• Experience with negotiations
• A law degree, with a minimum 2-4 years' in-house legal experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts
• A commercially mindset
• Result-orientation, pragmaticism, and flexibility
• Strong presence and the ability to influence and gain support
• A can-do attitude, a service mind and good teamwork skills
