In DFDS we are on a journey to digitalize our ferry and logistics divisions. Our technical tools are key in increasing our operational efficiency and at the same time allowing us to live up to the high expectations from our customers.

We want to accelerate this journey even further and therefore we need you.

As our new BA you will be joining a team of highly motivated colleagues. You will have a wide range of touchpoints throughout the organization including Product Owners, developers, local management and operational staff.

You will play an important part in one of our development teams, report to the Team Lead of the Integration Team and be based at DFDS Headquarters in Copenhagen or our office in Istanbul.

 

Main responsibilities

In the role as BA, you are the bridge between our operational staff and our developers. You will assist in designing the optimal solution for a given feature and make sure the functionality is implemented and embedded in the operations.

More specifically your main responsibilities include:

• Analyzing processes mainly in our ferry business.
• Analyzing and presenting the value of a given initiative.
• Drive digital projects.
• Design & build desired solutions as part of a cross functional team.
• Implement and follow up on added value in our operation.

 

What we are looking for

We are looking for a candidate who is capable of understanding and

analyzing different kind of processes and can translate that into feature deliverables. It’s a big advantage if you have experience with the transportation industry and are familiar with working in an agile setup with SCRUM methodologies.

Our developers use webMethods from Software AG so if you have any knowledge here it would just be icing on the cake.

 

Further:

• We imagine you are newly graduated or have a few years of experience from a similar position.
• Your educational background can vary, but it is an advantage if you have a degree within IT, Business, or shipping & logistics where a conceptual understanding of digital process and analyzes were in focus.
• You have good analytical skills and ability to build up a strong business case.
• You can take ownership of both processes and initiatives.
  You have the ability to set-up measurements to track the value of our work, defining the success of our deliveries.
• You have strong communication skills, as you translate business needs and user requests into digital solutions.
• You are a pro-active team player, as DFDS creates innovative solutions based on strong internal collaboration.
• Fluent in English as DFDS is an international company.

Through your committed and process-oriented personality you are able to navigate in complex discussions. This combined with your analytical approach and good communication skills you ensure high quality digital solutions to our logistics operations.
