An exciting opportunity has arisen as an Instructor in Kongsberg Maritime Training & Advisory. You will be part of a team of automation instructors at our headquarter in Kongsberg which offers operational and technical training to seafarers worldwide. To ensure efficient operation and maintenance of delivered systems, we must offer world class training. In this position you will be responsible for instruction in the product field K-Chief 700 automation system.

 

Key accountabilities

• Prepare, carry through and evaluate courses
• Participate in development of new courses
• Organize lab/simulator/classroom and update equipment used in courses
• Keep up-to-date on course material, rules and regulations within your field of expertise
• Collaborate with the Global training organization and other relevant departments
• Participate in Advisory assignments for ship-owners – providing guidance on operations, procedures, routines and documentation

 

Qualifications and experience

• Operational experience with automation systems offshore
• Fluent spoken and written English language
• Experienced and skilled in the use of IT tools
• Experience with Kongsberg automation systems is preferable
