JOTUN Algeria was established in 2011 as one of the key markets in North Africa with a huge growth potential. Presently the organization consists of 43 team members.
Our sales office and warehouse are located in Algiers and operating in decorative and protective segments with special focus on the premium and high quality subsegments of the market.

We are currently looking for a talented HR Manager to join our team in Algeria to lead and develop the HR function by successfully implementing concepts, tools and procedures relating to recruitment, compensation, mobility, training & development and employee welfare in order to support and contribute to the success of JOTUN Algeria.
This position will be based in Algiers and reports to the country's General Manager with matrix reporting to the Regional HR Director-MEIA.

The HR manager should attract, develop and retain the right talents as per JOTUN's policies and to a high professional standard. The HR manager holds full responsibility for the HR function and its related activities; and executes this responsibility autonomously. The HR Manager has an impact on the business through activities and initiatives, but also through strategically influencing the management team and department heads as an active member.”

Duties and responsibilities
  • Manage all activities related to Human Resources within the area managed 
  • Be responsible for, and independently manage, all areas of Human Resources (e.g. Recruitment, Compensation & Benefits, Mobility, Labour law/relations, organisational design, Leadership, and Strategic development of HR, to name a few)
  • Understands the company's challenges and business opportunities through active participation in management meeting and close contact with the Line Management and internal stakeholders to ensure that HR strategic response and activities are at all time fit-for-purpose, support and enhance overall business strategy, and help to shape the company and its culture
  • Ensuring all employees are developed in accordance to Jotun competence development strategy and Jotun Culture as well as ensuring fair and competitive compensation policies to support the strategic direction and development needs of the company
  • Develop and implement policies by formulating local policies in accordance to local Labour Law and Corporate HR policies to ensure that Jotun is perceived as professional and fair employer.
  • Develop and coach direct reports to ensure a competent, engaged and enabled HR team that meets Jotun’s current and future needs  
  • Create and implement local policies and processes in line with Global and Regional Policies and in adherence with local legal requirements  
  • Manage assigned elements in HSEQ Management programs
  • Ensure legal and governmental commitments, compliance and requirements are met throughout all practices to ensure that Jotun maintains its reputation as a professional employer
Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree/ Master's Degree in Business Administration, Management or other relevant field
  • HR Leadership Experience is essential
