Höegh Evi seeks an HSEQ Superintendent to join our global HSEQ team. The HSEQ team’s main objective is to manage the fleet’s operational risk and compliance. The role will primarily be based in Oslo and report to the Vice President HSEQ.
About the Role
The HSEQ Superintendent has a key role in in establishing and implementing HSEQ-improvement processes on the vessels and shore and shall be a quality control function of the Safety Management System (SMS).
Qualifications
• Minimum 10 years working experience from maritime sector.
• Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies.
• Seagoing experience, preferably at senior level on LNG / FSRU vessels.
• Relevant experience from a similar position in Maritime or offshore industry is an advantage.
• Certification and experience as Lead Auditor with Seamless audits is an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of maritime regulatory regime (IMO, Class, Flag), and HSE-requirements specified by Oil & Gas Companies (OCIMF) and SIGTTO.
• Experience with Safety Management Systems and its usage onboard, preferable also from development of Management Systems on shore side.
Key Responsibilities
• Active promotion of, and commitment to safety awareness, company policies and company values.
• Manage, implement, and follow up HSEQ-improvement processes for assigned vessels. This includes responsibility for the continuous improvement process around event and audit reporting.
• Responsible for assigned processes where interaction with other departments is a key element.
• Perform internal office and vessel audits under Seamless ISM/MLC/ISO scope
• Perform regular review and training in Risk Assessments, work permits and Management of Change and identify and share best practices.
• Analysis of event reports, inspections and audits to identify learning opportunities.
• Perform HSEQ training for Office Employees and seafarers
• Participate in prepare for/and attend officers conferences.
• Monitor new and impending rules/requirements that will affect the fleet and ensure relevant initiatives are taken for compliance in close cooperation with relevant functions
• Participate and provide support from HSEQ department in projects, campaigns and tenders.
• Assist with Document Control and participate with document improvement process
• Perform accident investigations upon request.
