We are looking for an experienced, strategic and structured Hotel Director to join our team!
We are looking for candidates nothing short of brilliant, who bring a wide range of experiences from the hospitality industry with substantial F&B operation. The right candidate will have the ability to drive change processes and projects in the organization. You need to be able to work strategically and analytically, and have the personality to action, implement and sustain new initiatives. You will have the overall responsibility for running our hotels and F&B operation in line with our strategies, values and budget, and will be an important member of the Hurtigruten Svalbard management team.
- Total budget and P&L responsibility for hotels and F&B operation
- Prepare monthly forecasts for top line and costs
- Personnel responsibility, including recruitment, training and employee development
- Implement and develop concepts within hotel- and F&B operation, in line with Hurtigruten Strategies
- Quality-assurance of routines in relation to IK-Mat and HACCP
- Collaboration across departments within the Svalbard operation, occasionally broader Hurtigruten departments as well
- Collaboration with other local players
- Follow-up of routines around purchasing, inventory, logistics and associated systems
- Achieve the objectives for the hotel and F&B operation in regards to customer service and employee satisfaction
- Develop, implement and adhere to strategic business plans, budgets and investment plans according to the annual business planning guidelines
- Assume full responsibility for compliance with emergency procedures, management and training
- Quality and guest satisfaction in all aspects
- Minimum 5 years experience as a leader in a larger organization within the hotel or restaurant business, ideally a multi-unit operation
- Proven business track record
- BSc in Hotel Management or other relevant education
- Extensive relevant work experience can compensate for lack of formal education
- Fluent in English and a Scandinavian language both written and spoken
- Excellent financial acumen
- Solid understanding of revenue management principles and practices
- Strong analytical and numerical skills
- Strategic and commercial approach
- Collaboration and listening skills combined with ability to make decisions and execute
- High work capacity and dedication to achieve the company`s goals
- A good communicator who creates positive relationships
