Head of Sales – Forecasting scheduling and settlement

As part of the Norwegian state owned Statkraft Group, Statkraft Markets Pvt. Ltd. has been in India since 2012. The vision of Statkraft Markets is to deliver value to generators and consumers of power based on the Group’s experience of more than 20 years in power markets in Europe and South-America. The company holds a Category-I Inter State Trading Licence and is now engaged in providing services to its Joint Venture Hydro Power assets in addition to successfully delivering on innovative and unique contracts with various companies across India. The team of approximately 40+ employees in New Delhi are a part of a larger Market Operations and IT division with about 650 employees globally.

Statkraft Markets India has entered into Forecasting and Scheduling of Renewal power and among top three suppliers of FSS services to Indian wind and solar generators. Statkraft globally is giving such services in other part of world mainly in European markets and is one of leading player. Statkraft’s intends to increase its foot print in Forecasting and Scheduling of Renewal power in India also.

Your role-

As a Head of Sales in Forecasting and scheduling business you will have explicit P&L responsibility by leading the team of BD employees. You will report to FSS  business head. You will be responsible to take commercial ownership by defining the sales strategy in order to maximise Statkraft Markets service offerings on Forecasting and Scheduling. You will also be responsible to innovate and customise products and services that can be successfully delivered to Statkraft Markets’ target clients in order to meet its annual revenue targets.

Your key responsibilities are-

  • Managing forecasting portfolio with extensive focus on business development and sales.
  • Take commercial ownership, maximising the value of FSS business, utilising the expertise of relevant units in the Statkraft Group to expand this business further.
  • Lead, manage and further develop a professional sales team for our forecasting scheduling and settlements business unit.
  • Define, implement and execute sales strategies to maximize revenue generation of the business.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of systems and processes toward customer relationship management.
  • Ensure quality of after sales services and create value to customers.
  • Develop and originate new innovative products to further grow the business.
  • Ensure Statkraft Code of Conduct and Business Policies are followed closely and strictly
  • Adhering to the needs of proper documentation and reporting as per Company processes

Your profile-

  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in a sales management including leadership role
  • Excellent leadership skills paired with entrepreneurial  thinking
  • Demonstrable experience in achieving targets and driving sales growth
  • Relevant work experience in the energy sector and/or possess the networks among power producers and big energy consumers, as well as industry associations, grid operators or service providers.
  • Expertise in sales, negotiations and product development
  • University degree in a quantitative or commercial discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and a commercial mind-set
  • Motivated and pro-active self-starter with a success-oriented attitude
