To lead Kongsberg Maritime’s continued development within Business Intelligence (BI), an exciting position has arisen as Head of Business Intelligence Strategy. You will report to our Vice President Strategic IT and join our team at Kongsberg Maritime headquarters. In this role, you will be a crucial link between business and IT. You will need to have a foot in both worlds, serving as an intermediary who translates business desires into technical solutions being able to build the confidence of both the business and the IT team. As the Head of Business Intelligence Strategy, you will enable Kongsberg Maritime to reach business goals through use of BI tools making data available for improved insight and better business decisions.

Digitalization, through utilization of modern IT tools, is essential to improve Kongsberg Maritime’s operational and strategic efficiency. As Head of Business Intelligence Strategy, you will work closely with both internal and external development teams, business developers and with KONGSBERG IT which manages the Data Warehouse Architecture and Infrastructure in Kongsberg Gruppen.

You will handle both technical challenges as well as the business process itself. In this role, you thrive when you identify business needs and quickly understand how data can support to make the right decisions and do the right things. In this role, you will shape Kongsberg Maritime’s Business Intelligence function and be part of KONGSBERG – a global technology powerhouse.

Key accountabilities

• Responsible for developing the Business Intelligence strategy and the Business Intelligence Governance for Kongsberg Maritime
• Closely cooperate with our organization and enable that Kongsberg Maritime use analyses, reports and tools to make informed data-based decisions that supports the overall strategy, business goals and processes
• Analyze Kongsberg Maritime’s business processes and ensure that the use of data and analytic tools continuously improves Kongsberg Maritime’s processes
• Execute Business Intelligence training programs to improve the use of data warehouse, Power BI and other tools
• Program responsible for projects developing Kongsberg Maritime Business Intelligence solutions
• Communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders as part of a matrix organization and with external technology partners

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or master's degree
• Solid experience with data management in larger organizations
• Experience from change management and continuous improvements
• Working knowledge of tools such as PowerApps/Power Platform, Data Factory/Data Lakes and Dynamics 365
• Fluent oral and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English
