We are searching for our next sustainable finance colleague to strengthen our coverage in relation to green and sustainable bonds. If you are passionate about environmental, social and governance challenges and also about financing, this position offers a platform for sustainable bond origination as well as arrangement and development of green loans, customer engagement and sustainable business development.

Handelsbanken DCM is a department comprising of forty-five people spread over Handelsbanken’s home-markets i.e. Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Great Britain and the Netherlands, assisting Handelsbanken’s branch offices as well as corporate and real estate customers with larger and more complex financings, ranging from bilateral and syndicated loans to arrangement of corporate bonds and commercial paper programs. DCM works closely with the bank’s branch offices and regional banks.

Sustainability is a vital part of Handelsbanken’s business model and sustainable finance specifically is a prioritized area of the bank’s offering. DCM has been dedicated to developing its sustainable finance practice and products for many years and is now a renown and leading Nordic advisor in relation to sustainable bonds and has held the pen on many recognized green financing frameworks.

DCM’s sustainable finance team currently consists of four senior associates covering advisory, arrangement and execution of sustainable bonds, green loans and sustainability linked loans. In addition, the team is responsible for developing integration of sustainability also in DCM’s ordinary loan offering and customer engagement.

You will be working together with your DCM colleagues in developing, advising and negotiating sustainable financing, predominantly sustainable bonds, and will be working closely with the bank’s branch offices, origination as well as the customers. This is a senior position but which nonetheless offers plenty of learning opportunity and personal development. You will have the chance to both branch out to other forms of financing such as green loans as well as help develop DCM’s business in terms of sustainability in light of Handelsbanken’s ever growing commitment to sustainability.

We are looking for a candidate with several years’ experience of sustainable finance and/or corporate bonds or of ESG analysis or criteria development, preferably from a financing perspective. You are experienced with advising customers, preparing presentations and market updates. You have a university degree and a genuine interest in finance as well as of sustainability and greening the financial sector. Your verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English are unencumbered.

You are business oriented and analytical, creative and driven. You enjoy working in a team and have a strong sense of integrity. You are comfortable with leading projects, experience of corporate loans, bonds and advisory is a merit.
