To meet an exciting and sustainable future, we are seeking a Group Manager – Automation Solutions Development, in our central Industrialization department. In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team developing manufacturing processes and test systems for our Manufacturing departments, for new and existing products. You will be manager for automation development engineers and technical responsible for our manufacturing automation solutions. We develop solutions for our internal manufacturing in Horten and Villajoyosa (Spain). Automation solutions for manufacturing processes, assembly and tests are key for efficient and high quality manufacturing.

 

Kongsberg grows in Horten and moves into a new building. This will become an exciting center for advanced manufacturing in Norway.

Key accountabilities:

• Technical responsibility and People management
• Manage strategy and roadmap for manufacturing automation solutions and smart manufacturing
• Manage the group’s work within development, implementation, improvement and maintenance
• Lead automation solutions projects with both internal and external resources
• Take part in product development projects. Focus on automation strategy and ‘Design for Automation’
• System design and automation development
• Support Manufacturing and Technology departments

 

Qualifications and experience

• Master or Bachelor’s degree within relevant technical area (robotics, automation, cybernetics, mechatronics or system engineering)
• Management, and project management experience
• Experience with automation solutions projects
• Experience with robotics, automation, vision, IIoT and cloud technology
• Experience with product development and manufacturing
