The business area Production is responsible for operation and maintenance of all assets where Statkraft is the operator, and optimization of the value of the district heating activities.

The process control department in Statkraft is responsible for operation and management of SCADA systems and network in addition to Statkraft governance within process control. We are a competence hub with 16 highly qualified and motivated colleagues that are key experts within process control fields. We provide expertise and support to process control projects and operation to all Statkraft assets.

To strengthen our team we are seeking

 Graduate Trainee – Process control

 

Your role:

We would like to develop you to be become a key expert in a broad and central field within the energy business.

After the training period you will be a key part in the process control department cooperating with operating units covering production and technical disciplines.
And you will be able to cover tasks such as:

• Power plant control system project and operation support
• Strategic and technical development within process control
• Operation and management of SCADA systems and communication network
• Set direction for the Statkraft requirements within process control
• Continuously improve ICT security in a critical system for society

Your profile:

• Master’s degree in science, engineering within fields as Electrotechnical, Cybernetics, Automation, ICT, etc.
• A strong technical profile
• You have an analytical mindset
• Eager to learn and develop
• Leaderships skills
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and you are fluent in English  
• A team player with excellent collaboration skills
• Interest in operation of power plants, energy markets and/or technical topics is an advantage
• You are flexible in terms of tasks and mobility

About the Int. Trainee Program

The objective of the program is to develop young talents in the best way possible and provide a general view of our entire operation and value chain. It is a one-year program with three different work rotations of four months, of which at least one will be abroad. The program is tailored to the trainee’s background and the unit’s competence needs. As a trainee you will attend regular courses and social gatherings where the trainee group meets to learn new skills and share experiences. Upon completion of the program you are offered a permanent position in the department where you will continue to work in a new position.
