As part of the finance team in Ireland, you will display financial thinking and leadership, and through proactive focus on cross-functional work, the role will drive agreed business strategies. You will coach the organisation to increase financial awareness in their approach to business decisions, provide financial information and expertise to inform and challenge the organisational strategy in general.
We expect you to drive business performance, continuous productivity improvements and standardisation across the organisation as well as provide solutions to support business decisions, M&A activities, investment plans and forecasting process.
In addition to this, you are accountable for the following Key Responsibilities:
- Timely and high-quality financial reporting, analysis, and metrics to key stakeholders driving one set of numbers across all financial reports.
- Analysis and interpretation of financial information to produce forecasts of business, industry, and economic conditions.
- Improving the impact, and understanding, of financial reporting on business performance.
- Building partnerships and strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams and providing financial support to commercial decision making.
- Delivering analysis and insight on business opportunities; providing options and scenarios for business decisions.
- Conducting market research studies and analysis to assess current market trends.

Working 08.30 – 17:00 Mon – Fri, based at our Dublin site, we will expect you to travel domestically to our various operations when required. We are looking for a professional individual to challenge the status quo at all levels of the organisation, and who has the following qualifications:
- Educational background in Finance or the like.
- Active member of an accountancy body.
- Preferably experience in road logistics and warehousing.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience within finance functions, logistics operations, or consulting.
- A track record in driving high performance through teams.
- Advanced Excel experience.
- Proven record of analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills being able to work with both management and employees in a large organisation.
- Open and positive attitude.
- Outgoing, outspoken and a winning personality.

Having strong analytical and numerical abilities, on top of a structured, reliable personality, which will support you in planning, executing and prioritising activities. We need you to pay attention to detail and keep focus at a high level, whilst acknowledging that follow-up is needed for the success and strive to continuously improve performance. As a proactive self-starter, you have a good drive, “can run with a one-liner,” stay focused and prioritise to get the job done while keeping calm.
