Our Global Customer Support division is responsible for Kongsberg Maritime services, upgrades and support in the aftermarket. Our 2.300 employees are present in 34 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime of more than 30.000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient delivery of services, upgrades and spare parts in order to secure availability and predictability to our customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Field Service Engineer/Technician, reporting to Regional Propulsion and Engine Director, Americas. In this role, you will primary work with Propulsion systems (Mechanical and Hydraulic) in delivery, after sales and upgrade situations on both current and earlier versions of KM Field Service Systems. The position requires availability to travel (domestic and international) to attend service and training in planned or short notice demands including weekends and holidays whenever required.

• Lead and manage assigned self/team while on site, interacting with the customer to arrange for proper schedule to achieve desired scope.
• Keep track of work details and provide in depth reports including all the necessary details. (Measurements, photos, way of working, investigations, etc.)
• Perform internal and external progress reporting on the status of assigned work.
• Ensure that the work is executed according to Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.

Qualifications and experience
• Degree level or equivalent education in an Engineering and/or Technical discipline.
• Strong verbal communication and written reporting skills in English and Spanish languages.
• Microsoft package user level.
