Statkraft seeks a strong candidate with in-depth competence and experience within power plant protection systems. This is an exciting position that gives insight and possibility to influence the way Statkraft runs operations and maintenance of power plants and control systems.

The position is part of the central staff unit Process Control, responsible for governance and support within process control, and reports to the Head of Local Control and Protection, based in Glomfjord.

We are looking for an  

Electrical Power Engineer

 who will be part of Statkraft’s professional competence hub within control systems. The workplace will be Glomfjord in Nordland county.

Your role:

• Improve and develop requirements, guidelines and best practices within design, operations and maintenance of protection systems
• Support the operational units in maintenance and operation of the power plants, including projects, condition- and risk assessments
• Represent Statkraft’s central competence within protection relays, and contribute to selectivity planning and disturbance analysis

Your profile:

• M.Sc. within Electrotechnical discipline with focus on electrical power engineering and protection relays. Other education combined with right experience can also be considered
• Experience and technical competence within power plant functions is an advantage
• Take initiative, have go-ahead spirit and ability to go deep into technical issues
• Self-propelled team player with a drive for improvements, and able to work both independent and in teams
• Good communicator in Norwegian and English, both oral and in writing. Other languages an advantage
• Flexible in terms of tasks and mobility as the role requires providing local as well as international support at sites for shorter or longer periods
