As our Division Business Controller you will be closely linked to our business and commercial activities in division Digital Ocean, with responsibility for Performance and Controlling across its three commercial business units globally. You will be part of the division management team and have frequent interaction with the division and business management, sales, product development and line management. You will be expected to drive change and improvements and you will be a powerful contributor as well as an important discussion partner for various managers and business unit responsible. The role reports to Vice President Controlling & Business Performance

 

What you will do:

  • Proactively analyze value creation/profitability and financial performance across the division’s business units, and communicate findings and challenge relevant stakeholders and management teams
  • Key sparring partner for business unit management teams, product development, and line- and project management
  • You will work closely with VP Controlling & Business Performance, for further development of the Business Controlling Team in collaboration with the other team members
  • Responsible for the divisions team consisting of BU controller and project controllers
  • Work closely with business intelligence team to increase digitalization and automation of our business controlling processes
  • Identify areas of improvements, develop and execute actions plans
  • Facilitate the annual business budget and planning process
  • Develop business cases and investment analyses for decision support
  • Contribute into commercial activities, bid and tender team participation
  • Develop, support and execute on target plans, rolling forecasts and reporting including deviation analysis and improvements
  • Responsible for division and business unit controlling, monthly reports on operations, financial Performance, risks & KPI’s etc.

 

You are a person who… 

Are solution focused and can evaluate all related information critically. You make the necessary analysis to get the complete picture in any project, product or business. You are structured and effective in a team, but you also like to work autonomously. Most importantly, you possess energy and drive, and enjoy finding solutions to challenges that needs to be solved. 

As qualifications goes you already have:

  • Preferably a master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (consulting, finance, business controlling or similar)
  • Excellent command of written and oral English. Norwegian is an advantage but not a prerequisite
  • Self-driven and result oriented
  • Ability to think strategically and work with details
  • Flexible and Solution oriented
  • Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and efficiently
  • Commercial mindset combined with strong analytical skills
  • Passionate team player and leader
  • Good understanding of finance systems (ERP, Power BI, etc.) is an advantage
  • High proficiency in Excel
