The Director is responsible for overall strategic direction and driving growth and development within the region. The person will have exceptional communications skills, is decisive in decision making, is strategic in thinking, demonstrates the ability to manage a staff of professionals, and understands how to maintain and grow profitability. Additional focus will be aimed at driving regional growth in line with the segment’s strategy. Oversight of operations, including service delivery, supply chain, quality and operational excellence, will also be part of this role.

This position can be based in Stavanger / Bergen or Trondheim, Norway

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
• Effectively develop and execute operating plans to support the Segments’ strategic growth objectives while maintaining a profitable P&L for the region.

• Implement business strategies, plans & procedures to drive performance and growth.

• Promote integrity and institute a high level of Health, Safety and Environmental & Quality practices according to Oceaneering policies.

• Oversee all marketing and sales activities within the region to include facilitating increased demand in the market to achieve margin increases.

• Drive customer focused collaboration across the Segment. Raise awareness and ensure appropriate action towards market opportunities.

• Operations management includes SCM, Quality, Operational Excellence. Drive productivity, delivery performance, and cost optimization.

• Promote seamless interfaces and collaboration with global functions and develop resources to ensure optimum productivity.

• Support execution of global R&D projects by collaborating closely with global Technology function to ensure timely project delivery.

• Ensure compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies and processes related to operations and project execution. Share functional best practices and lessons learned across the organization.

• Define (with HR Business Partner) the proper organizational structure to obtain optimum management, staffing, retention and growth of top performers. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect reports within HR policies.

• Ensure healthy relationships with local unions and the management of the associated collective agreements.

• Act as the managing director of the legal entity under which IMDS operate in Norway on behalf of Oceaneering.

Qualifications:
• University degree in Engineering or related business field.

• An understanding of global markets, customers and suppliers.

• A minimum of 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in the process automation / industrial automation industry and or Asset Integrity.

• A minimum of 5 years of P&L responsibility providing demonstrated leadership experience in building accomplished teams and executing strategic programs to drive growth.

• Experience in marketing and sales, service, product management and development or operations in an international business environment.

• Excellent sales acumen and proven experience driving various ways to market, including channel & account management.

• Experience in change & turnaround management, developing and leading large organizations in various business cycles.
