Deputy Domain Architect Accounts for Accounts and Payments

Bank

Are you stimulated by change and challenges, do you like larger perspectives and innovative technology?

Cash Management and Loans is an area with approx. 350 FTEs delivering IT solutions for our customers ranging from our largest corporates to private individuals. As a Deputy Domain Architect for Accounts, you are part of shaping and driving SEB’s strategic agenda and one of our most important architectural transformations.

About the job
The area of Cash Management is undergoing a major transformation from a business and market as well as from an architectural perspective. You will play a key part in driving multiple major initiatives within the Accounts area. The main focus is to build a new core system, but you will also work with for example Virtual Cash management, a new liquidity concept, and with the channel transformation of Account related functions.

As a deputy Domain Architect, your responsibility will be part of setting, continuously improve and implement the target architecture in line with the business objectives. This is a senior position and you will be working close to our Domain Architect and be a part of our tribe management team, Manage My Cash, that are focusing on the Accounts and Liquidity area.

Significant focus is spent on interacting with business representatives to truly understand needs, anchor ideas and shape workable solutions. Part of your responsibility is also to participate in the SEB architect community including other Domain Architects and Enterprise Architects to both align to and help shaping the bank’s architectural principles, targets and roadmaps. Furthermore, you will guide and support development and delivery teams both on a strategic and operative level.

You will belong to an Architecture and Shared Services team and report to the team manager for that team and have a dotted line to the Domain Architect for Accounts & Payments.

Your profile
To succeed in this role, we would like to see a proven ability to manage, lead and inspire others to reach architectural objectives and solution concepts. You are experienced in stakeholder management and possess clear cooperation skills but still maintaining a strong hands-on drive and a goal-oriented approach. You have well-developed oral and written communication skills where you easily understand and interact with both business and IT. You can combine a pragmatic approach with a creative and innovative mindset to find solutions to business challenges. You are well founded in the IT-area and your proposals are based on a solid understanding of existing IT solutions considering possibilities of new technology. You assume personal accountability for creating and delivering high-value results.

We think that you are a seasoned architect with broad experience of the IT-landscape, and that you see yourself as a generalist in your profession. It's important to us that you have experience of working with both legacy systems and modern techniques and understands how to tie them together in best possible way to fulfil the business requirements. You will be involved in questions regarding everything from Mainframe and IBM Z, to front-end applications, APIs and event driven architecture.

It would be an advantage if you have experience from the cash management area, but it is not a must. Any certifications or architecture methodologies experience is a plus but not a requirement. A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering/science, electrical engineering, applied physics or similar is a benefit but not a necessity. We expect you to be fluent in both Swedish and English.

Equally important as any formal training or education is that you have a passion for architecture and the financial industry, with a strong interest in keeping you updated on the relevant trends in the industry and technology.
