The Technology & Innovation organization within DFDS has a broad scope and is designed to operate both centrally and cross-functionally, in close collaboration with senior management, core business areas and IT teams.

Within our Data & Analytics department, we are currently looking for a Data Consultant to help our users and key stakeholders getting more insight into their business. The ideal candidate has both technical capabilities and project management skills. We are looking for someone with a passion for data, working cross functionally with technical partners, as well as participate in key projects with key stakeholders.

In this role, you will get to

Partner with multiple data consultants, business analysts, data scientists and machine learning specialists, as well with other technical counterparts including data engineering and IT. In addition, the position gives you an opportunity to be part of a strategic, important department where you can further build your analytics competences. As Data & Analytics is cross-functional in nature, you will be provided with the opportunity of having exposure to a large part of our business, and to interact with stakeholders from different parts of our company.

On the first day, we will expect you to have

A Master degree within Economics, Finance, Business Administration, IT or similar. Also, you must have strong analytical skills, be Data savvy, understand deeper needs behind Business questions to convey these into requirements understood by our Data Engineers. If you are good at building relationships and equipped with solid communication skills, then that would be just great, so are presentation and facilitation skills.

Your experience with tools is relevant, but equally important is your personal drive.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinating and facilitating requirement gathering activities, playing an active role in the discovery, analysis, value validation, design, and testing phases.
• Verifying that Data & Analytics requirements are relevant, correct, complete and consistent.
• In addition to primary interactions with business-side, also interacting with project teams, designers, solution architects and enterprise architects to verify requirements.
• Monitors changes in business, making suggestions and recommendations where Data & Analytics can further improve business.

About the Data & Analytics department

The Data & Analytics department is part of the Technology & Innovation division. We are currently +30 colleagues working within data consultancy, data engineering and data science. We aim to make a positive impact to the way we work with data in DFDS, helping our colleagues to unlock business value. We are a highly collaborative team with a high bar of rigorous analyses, and we love to have fun along the way. The position is aimed to be part of the data consultancy team.
