The Technology division is responsible for development activities in Kongsberg Maritime (KM). Our activities include product specific development, platform development and new business development initiatives.

 

Our Cybernetics & Signal Processing department, Applications development unit, seek a new control system developer to further strengthen our team of specialists.

 

A series of new and exciting projects are in the pipeline with ample opportunities to work with leading technologies and world class products. As our new control system developer, you will join a strong team of devoted specialists.

 

Main tasks:

• Research and development of advanced motion control algorithms for all-speed dynamic positioning control with applications such as autoberthing and autocrossing

• Support the development of autonomous vessel systems and cross product integration

• Participate in verification, commissioning and deployment of new technology

 

We search for people with:

• Engineering doctor’s/master’s degree in cybernetics, marine cybernetics or equivalent with emphasis on nonlinear and/or predictive control methods

• Competence and experience with marine surface applications

• Experience with C/C++programming

• Excellent collaborative and communication skills

• Self-driven and confident of own technical expertise
