Would you like to join our dedicated team working with non-neoplastic renal, pulmonary, and cardiac pathology (native and transplanted organs)?

We offer a full time permanent position as a consultant pathologist at the Department of Pathology at Oslo University Hospital. We are looking for a pathologist with diagnostic experience or a sincere interest in one or several of the above-mentioned fields. The renal, pulmonary, and cardiac pathology group includes five enthusiastic colleagues working closely together in modern environments with first class equipment, delivering diagnostic work according to high international standards. Oslo University hospital is the largest hospital in Norway and provides extensive regional and local hospital assignments and high quality medical services for the citizens of Oslo. Our department is staffed with 50 consultant pathologists and 20 residents. The pathologists work in diagnostic groups, located on three different sites in Oslo. Moreover, the department includes an active research section producing more than 100 scientific publications a year. OUH - Department of Pathology (ous-research.no)

You will join 20 consultant pathologists at the site Rikshospitalet, comprising five diagnostic groups focusing on the following:

  • Non-neoplastic renal, pulmonary, and cardiac pathology 
  • Gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic pathology
  • Pediatric solid tumors, head and neck pathology and cytology
  • Dermatopathology
  • Neuropathology

Kvalifikasjoner:

  • Licensed physician (MD), qualified for license issued by Norwegian health authorities
  • Registered specialist in surgical pathology. Medical doctors who are about to complete their specialist training in pathology are also welcome to apply
  • Experience in one or several of the following fields: non-neoplastic renal pathology, pulmonary pathology, cardiac pathology (both native organs and transplants)  
  • Language skills: fluent in English or a Scandinavian language
