Consultant – Database Developer

As part of the Norwegian state owned Statkraft Group, Statkraft Markets Pvt. Ltd. has been in India since 2012. The vision of Statkraft Markets is to deliver value to generators and consumers of power based on the Group’s experience of more than 20 years in power markets in Europe and South-America. The company holds a Category-I Inter State Trading Licence and is now engaged in providing services to its Joint Venture Hydro Power assets in addition to successfully delivering on innovative and unique contracts with various companies across India

Your role-

As a Database Developer, you will closely engage with the business by developing enterprise scale database system for Timeseries data.

Your key responsibilities are-

• Understand the existing Oracle database design along with the PL/SQL codes.
• Develop a robust and scalable database on Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL.
• Transform existing Oracle database schema and PL/SQL codes to PostgreSQL.
• Work closely with the business to understand the business process and needs; design the technical concept and develop high quality database within agreed timescales
• Support the agile releases and sprint planning process through analysis and estimation of development work
• Preparing release notes and operational handover documents

Your profile-

• BS or MS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study.
• Minimum 7 years of professional database development experience
• Working experience on Oracle and PostgreSQL is essential.
• Familiarity with Timeseries database with versioned, non-versioned, breakpoint timeseries.
• .net, C# knowledge is preferred
• Experience with working with financial & time series data and systems supporting business or industrial processes.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills and a commercial mind-set
• Motivated and pro-active self-starter with a result-oriented attitude
