Working in Market Regulations & Compliance:
The business area Market Operations (M) delivers value by commercially optimising, leveraging and developing Statkraft’s flexible generation portfolio as well as maintaining and growing a strong and sustainable presence within the trading, origination and customers market.
The Market Regulations & Compliance team promotes compliance with applicable regulations on market integrity and abuse, post-trade risk management and client protection. The department’s mandate covers market regulations (i.e. EMIR, REMIT, MAR, MIFID II and their equivalents outside of the EU) for all Statkraft entities.
To strengthen our activities within Compliance for Market Regulations, we are looking to add a new member to our team.
The position will be located in Düsseldorf.
Your role:
In your role as a Compliance Associate you will:
- Promote compliance with the rules of the trading venues on which Statkraft trades.
- Design and conduct checks to test Statkraft’s level of operational compliance with the relevant prescriptive requirements of REMIT, EMIR, MIFID II and MAR.
- Take on various compliance tasks related to financial market regulation in particular MIFID II and EMIR
- Take on other compliance-related assignments or projects as required
- Proactively contribute to the success of the MFM Compliance team in delivering a professional compliance program
About you:
- Relevant University or Master’s degree
- Auditing or breach detection experience within a trading environment
- Good understanding of market regulations and in particular MIFID II and EMIR, or a keenness to learn
- Analytical mind set and general systems proficiency
- Excellent interpersonal skills, solution driven, confident, highly motivated
- Organized and detail oriented
- Team player but able to operate independently
- Project or project management experience would be an advantage
- Good communication skills in English, both orally and written.
