Working in Communications:

Our communications and marketing team working in Germany and across several European countries is looking for a Communication Advisor based in the Düsseldorf area. The team focusses on public relations, internal communication and on customer communication.

The team is strong through diversity with every team member bringing a different skillset to the table. We are looking for a Communication Advisor that would like to contribute to shape the communication of one of the fastest growing renewable energy companies.

Your role:

Together with the other members of the public relations team, you will be responsible for creating positive media attention for business strategic topics and manage stakeholder relations for Statkraft’s solar and wind development activities, our market and power plant operations in Germany. You will be conveying the company's strategic positioning and messages that differentiate the company from competitors towards all key stakeholders utilising our communication channels.

As a Communication Advisor:

• You represent the company to and interact with journalists and other relevant external stakeholders, especially in the regions where we have business activities.
• You create acceptance for Statkraft’s business and position our activities positively and transparently with media and stakeholders in the long term.
• You will develop, manage and execute effective communication formats for our development projects, our power plant operations and/or our green power service offering and implement them together with your colleagues.
• You will, in close coordination with the respective teams, pitch relevant topics to and respond to media enquiries, arrange and coordinate interviews and brief our spokespeople.
• You draft press releases, editorial texts, surveys, Q&A etc. and work cross-medially for all channels of our internal and external communication. At the same time, you are proficient in all facets of social media strategies and communication.
• You enjoy continuous learning.

Thanks to your long experience and excellent expertise in managing topics and cooperating with various stakeholders, you identify good opportunities, but also reputational risks. You work closely with the other team members in Germany and Norway. At the same time, you consciously cultivate and expand your contacts with internal experts and external stakeholders.

About you:

• You have at least 7+ years of professional experience in a similar role and a bachelor+ degree in a relevant field with documented extensive experience.
• Beyond press office and media relations knowledge you are an experienced professional in both traditional and digital communication strategy and execution
• You have preferably worked in the energy industry before and truly understand the energy world in its complexity
• Excellent copywriting skills, exceptional attention to detail, editing and proofreading skills
• You can translate complex information into clear and engaging content
• You feel comfortable communicating and writing both in German and English (and maybe even other languages?)
• You understand how to effectively communicate with community groups and the public as well as the corporate target groups
