Integrated Solutions division is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations and project delivery for all Kongsberg's Automation, Bridge Systems and Electro products and Solutions. The division is also responsible for developing and delivering large projects by integrating solutions for Kongsberg to the maritime segments across our entire product range.

We are seeking a Commercial Manager to provide commercial and contracting support within Integrated Solutions. The candidate will form part of Integrated Solutions Commercial & Contracting team.

 

Key responsibilities

-        Support our sales division and pre-contract teams across Integrated Solutions in bid evaluation, risk identification and mitigation.

-        Identify potential risks and liabilities inherent in contracts, propose and negotiate amendments to minimize or mitigate risk using judgment in balancing commercial/legal considerations against the requirements of the business.

-        Review, amend, and draft terms and conditions in sales contracts.

-        Provide commercial and contract advice during execution and completion of contracts (variation orders, disputes and claims)

-        Assist where directed in supporting aspects of business development opportunities and initiatives, including new offerings, partnerships etc.

-        Provide commercial and contract awareness training to sales and project management teams across Integrated Solutions

 

Qualifications and experience

-        Education to degree level or equivalent in a relevant discipline

-        Legal education is not a requirement but may be considered as an advantage (both Norwegian and international law degree will be welcomed)

-        Minimum 3 years relevant experience in previous commercial, contract management or legal roles

-        Demonstrated good understanding of contracts and contract principles/contract law

-        Ability to work collaboratively and in partnership with managers to measurably improve commercial and contracting practice

-        Sound business judgement coupled with analytical ability necessary to achieve effective solutions

-        Experience in complex, commercial negotiations within demanding timescales

-        Strong planning and organizational skills with an ability to manage ambiguity
