We are looking for a Commercial Development and Project Manager to join in Turkey.

The position is located in Istanbul. You will report the VP, Head of BU Mediterranean, who sits in the management team in DFDS BU Mediterranean.


About the role:

Drive the commercial development in BU Med, with a special focus on the continued growth and transformation of the intermodal business, to deliver on the ambitious IM Strategy within DFDS.
Support and assist the head of BU Med with various tasks and projects of strategic importance (e.g. Win23, prepare material/presentations for executive management)
Partnering with customers to generate strategies to ensure the most beneficial use of the services and support them achieve the greatest value from our solutions.


Who are you?

• Overall optimize and grow the IM network in DFDS
• Ensure articulation and execution of the strategic objectives, key priorities, projects and plans to deliver according to strategy
• Focus on optimizing and rethinking business processes
• Support with tasks related to the integration of acquired IM company
• Help drive the IT transformation in Intermodal
• Drive and support a data-driving culture (with the new IM IT system being implemented during 2022, support the transformation and automation of existing reporting tools and KPIs and identify new standard reports and KPIs)
• Establish an IM forum within DFDS (to help leverage and drive knowledge sharing and grow the IM pipeline within DFDS)
• Ad-hoc analyses to ensure transparency and support decision-making (e.g. train performance, customer commitments, net profitability of customers)
• Prepare pricing recommendations and business cases with key stakeholders
• Support BU Med mgmt., in particular Head of BU Med and the Intermodal Director, with high-quality analysis for decision-making
• Support with streamlining tools and contracts (e.g. train commitment agreements)
• Utilize data on customer business, needs, and strategy to boost customer success.
• Meets with and holds discussions with customer stakeholders,
• Prepare budgets and accurate forecasting on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis
