The Finance and Risk operations of the Trading company of Statkraft Brazil is performed in Rio de Janeiro and Florianopolis. This role will be located in Rio de Janeiro.

Your role as Business Intelligence Specialists:

 

The Business Intelligence Specialist position will be responsible for serving all Commercial and Financial business areas and system owners in Statkraft Markets Brazil, focusing on continuous improvements, updating programming codes, maintain, develop and continuously improve the change and release management in alignment with the IT department policies in Brazil and Europe.

 

The Business Intelligence position will be located in Rio de Janeiro with directly report to Head of Business Intelligence area in Florianópolis, with stakeholders and key interfaces with IT teams located in different offices in Brazil and Europe.

  

Main Activities:

 

• Enable high-quality tools in order to provide the business flexibility in data analysis and visualization (supporting the “front end”);

• Propose support solutions and strategies to business challenges and process improvements;

• Work very closely with the business in supporting their daily operations and maintenance of ongoing systems, small changes/developments;

• Work as an advisor to recommend technical solutions for systems integration and Identify areas for improvements within the system setup where applicable;

• Support that all systems have a road map for the next 12 months according to the development planning and prioritize action define by the business areas;

• Help to create and define SLAs for each system in the company representing the Markets business area, with the IT department, ensuring SLA agreements are understood by the business and properly communicated;

• Work closely with IT in Brazil and Europe and defined frameworks to ensure operational stability and quality;

• Coach users (peers) as a scripting expert, and as hosting regular support sessions;

• Be able to treat a large amount of raw data to find patterns and trends;

  

Your profile:

 

• Graduate in IT engineering, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics or related areas;

• Postgraduate or Master in Data Science, Mathematics or related areas is an advantage;

• Solid experience with Databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL and Oracle;

• Solid Skills on Data Science, Business Intelligence and related areas;

• Solid knowledge in Python, Shell Scripting (BASH or SH) and other programming    languages

• Good skills in Windows server environments

• Linux server skills are highly desirable.

• Great analytical and problem-solving skills in a proactive way

• General interest in worldwide energy or financial markets;

• Analytical, structured, result oriented and with a good business understanding;

• Demonstrate initiative, a team player and excellent communication skills;

• Motivated, flexible and service oriented and comfortable with periods of high work pressure;

• Fluency in Portuguese and English.

• Availability to travel occasionally inside Brazil (mainly Florianópolis) and to Europe.
