A Business Development Manager – does what it says on the tin right? And we’re looking for just that. 

 

With a strong knowledge of the shipping and logistics industry, you’ll be responsible for business development and account management as well as the day-to-day functioning of the commercial team.  Within the role, we need you to be proactive in dealing with hot prospects, looking at dormant clients and reinvigorating leads and converting them to business opportunities.

 

You’ll need to be able to build quick relationships with independent small businesses through to Boardroom presentations to global players in the industry.  There will be lots of UK travel for client and site meetings, so you’ll need to be flexible and manage your own workload.  You’ll need to generate your own enquiries and quotations as well as managing inbound requests for pricing, identifying leads, prospects, and potential projects.

 

To maximise the development of our business, you’ll need to remain abreast of exciting events and communicate with the marketing teams within the business so you are able to identify potential customers who could benefit from our developments in technology, sustainability and transportation.
