About the Unit

Yara Porsgrunn is a major production site for Yara International ASA. The plant manufactures more than three million tons of fertilizer yearly in addition to various products for industrial applications. The plant has five production areas; Ammonia, Nitric Acid , NPK, Calcium Nitrate and Material Handling. 

Yara Porsgrunn has an annual turnover of about 8 billion NOK.

We are strengthning our maintenance organization in the Calsium Nitrate and Material Handling area, and are looking for an Engineer Automation to further develop maintenance programs, spare parts management, follow up modifications and projecst and support own discipline workers in their day to day work in these two areas. In addition to be part of the local, multi discipline team, you will also cooperate and share learning with the automation engineers in the other three maintenance departments. You will report to the Maintenance Manager in Calsium Nitrate area.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and authorize automation installations according to government requirements
• Provide technical support to line operations according to Yara HESQ standards
• Develop and follow up systematic maintenance- and spare part management 
• Initiate, follow up and support projects and modifications, also as part of multidiscipline projects.
• Monitor and follow up relevant maintenance contracts
• Drive continuous improvement and optimization
  
  

Profile

• MSc/BSc in process automation or cybernetics
• Additional certificate of apprenticeship in relevant dicipline is an advantage
• Min. 5 years operational experience from automation discipline, preferably industrial environment
• Good knowledge of SAP or similar maintenance system is an advantage
• Systematic and structured approach to development of maintenance programs
• Supportive,takes initiative and demonstrates "hands-on" attitude
• Fluent in one Scandinavian language and English
