Apprentice Labour & Equipment Planner - Terminal Operations

If the idea of working in a fast-paced environment sounds exciting, then we’ve got just the role for you…We are looking for an Apprentice Labour & Equipment Planner to join our Terminal Operations team at Immingham.

 

Working Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:00, we are looking for you to come in, learn the ropes of our operation and develop within the role. You’ll be planning the day-to-day labour and equipment resources, ensuring that adequate and appropriate resources are always available for the completion of Terminal and Vessel Operations. Planning for 25 -30 vessel calls per week, we’ll need you to provide accurate clerical and administrative support enabling the Terminal to operate smoothly. This will include the understanding and manipulating data from various sources, to enable you to produce reports & statistics, which may include project work within the business improvement plan.

 

You will work very closely with the Terminal Manager and their immediate team organising the efficient use of Terminal Labour & Equipment, in conjunction with working towards your Level 4 – Data Analyst Apprenticeship. We’ll need you to build relationships quickly with our staff and third-party suppliers alike, as it is important that you are aware of everyone’s skills and abilities, so they can be deployed effectively. Calculating holiday accruals and the monitoring of holiday requests to ensure that holidays are evenly spread across all staff throughout the year. Combined with maintaining, identifying, and organising operational training needs, where required. Allocation of Equipment will need to be overseen, developing a daily equipment plan to manage usage, and costs, ensuring all operational activities are covered, whilst keeping the Terminal Workshop updated.

 

We are looking for a diligent and industrious person, who has a real interest in data, use of Microsoft Excel and reporting, to join our team working effectively to meet deadlines. A well organised individual with very high levels of IT skills and knowledge, is essential for this position. Naturally, there will be documentation and general administration to be completed, commensurate with this role. This includes collating & presenting statistical data for use by management which is required to be accurate and finalised within required deadlines.You’ll be working with a dedicated and energetic team who possess a willingness to succeed.
